Now you can choose the ‘invisible’ Clearstep brace made of a clear and comfortable material, if you have heard of Invisalign, these are a very similar alternative. They are removable too, so when you want to eat or clean your teeth. Invisible braces can achieve perfect results without anyone knowing you are having orthodontic treatment to correct gappy, crooked or overlapping teeth.
These clever adult teeth braces work by applying a small amount of pressure to your crooked teeth, gently encouraging them to move little by little day by day. Every couple of weeks we will supply you with a new set of aligners or positioners that will gently move your teeth a small amount, then once this set of positioners have done their job we'll provide you with another set, and so on until your teeth are in their new position.
You will need to wear your teeth braces for around 20 hours per day, taking them out only for meal times. When you clean them we recommend using warm water, but don't use tooth paste as this can scratch your invisible teeth braces making them more likely to stain in the future... and then they won't be invisible any more!
Your removable braces may also feel like they don't fit and that they are too tight, this is exactly correct. If they fitted your teeth perfectly then they would not be applying pressure to your teeth and they wouldn't move in to their new position. As you wear each positioning brace you will find the pressure eases as your teeth move, it's then time to change to the next in the series of aligners or teeth positioners.
